Made up a bed for Hunt at Moorhouse’s. Went to the meeting on 16th August 1819. ‘’Moorhouse took his wife there. She was then in the family way.’

Download accountMary Cadman examined by Mr. Littledale —I was a servant with Mr. Moorhouse last August. On the 8th of August, there was a bed made up for him there.
Here Mr. Hunt rose, and admitted that he slept there; it was not therefore necessary to examine her further on that point.
Cross-examined by Mr. Barrow—She had been a servant at Moorhouse’s. He was a good religious man, and used to read the Bible very often for his family. Witness went to the meeting on the 16th of August. There were a number of women and children there. She was not a servant to Mr. Moorhouse then. Moorhouse took his wife there. She was then in the family way. She saw no children there belonging to Moorhouse. He has eleven children; six by his present wife.
