Our celebration event is inspired by Peterloo and young people’s involvement in protest over the last 200 years. Bringing young people together from schools, colleges, youth groups and arts organisations, they will present us with poetry, music, theatre performances, stories and more. All in front of the back drop of Manchester Art Galleries exhibition, Get Together and Get Things Done.
Audiences will also get the chance to take part in activities that examine the importance of young people being mobilised to effect local and global change.
Radical Read celebration event has been support by Arts Council England and The Heritage Fund. It is hosted by Read Manchester and Manchester Histories.
