Peterloo Picnic

Tue 16 Jul 1 – 3pm

Peterloo Picnic – An afternoon of tea, cake and debate

The picnic will be a culmination of a whole school project lasting approximately six weeks. The whole school community will join together to showcase the children’s work linked to the topic. A hustings will be erected in the school grounds where both adults and children will use the language of debate to represent opinions on the themes that the children have studied in class. All pupils will recreate the gathering representing the workers of the time. They will do this through drama, music, dance and art. Each class will make banners linked to their class specific trades and themes. This work will then be presented at the picnic where the school community will commemorate the bicentenary together.

Enormous thanks to our partners and funders
