Bolton Library and Museum Services is pleased to invite you to a special event marking the opening of its Peterloo exhibition.
The exhibition commemorates the people of Bolton who marched to St Peter’s Field, Manchester on 16 August 1819 to take part in a peaceful demonstration in support of parliamentary reform. Included in the exhibition are the names of 23 Bolton people who were injured at the demonstration, as well as two specially commissioned artworks by Jennifer Gilmour and Claire Barber.
