Music workshop 2 – 3.20pm – Book Now

Join composer and workshop facitilators, Tim and Eleanor Mottershead and learn to sing music composed in
previous workshops to selected verses of the Shelley poem, Masque of Anarchy.

Inspired by folksongs and speech rhythms this workshop will introduce you to this powerful poem inspired by Peterloo and an opportunity to sing some new material.

There will be an ad hoc performance in the exhibition space at 3.30pm

This performance will include a reading of the poem.

To mark the 200th anniversary of the Peterloo Massacre, there will be a reading of the powerful poem ‘Masque of Anarchy’ by Percy Bysshe Shelley.

Learn more about the poem and take part in the performance by reading a few verses.

Rebel Karaoke 7pm

Rebel Karaoke The Masque of Anarchy choir will close this event as the final item at 7pm.  Participants from both afternoon sessions are encouraged to join with choirs from previous workshops to take part in the final performance of the event.
