On 16 August 1819, blood ran in the streets of Manchester. 18 people were killed and around 700 injured attending a peaceful demonstration at St Peter’s Field, now the area around St Peter’s Square.
Join us for a discussion hosted by Workers’ Educational Association (WEA) tutor Mark Krantz with activists from the Peterloo Memorial Campaign, to reflect on the significance of Peterloo today. Come along to listen, or get involved in the conversation.
