‘What do people who feel they are nothing, have nothing, do to be heard?

Linda Brogan, who excavated the Reno cellar club in Moss Side MCR, and Manchester Histories have joined forces to present 1819 – 1981. The July 1981 riot memoirs of serving officer PC Ian Mack, and Melba Finni, 13 at the time, give voice to the long dead 1819 Hulme Hussars and the Peterloo protesters.

Linda will film the discussion and your riot memories provoked by the memoirs. Excerpts will be edited into the next screening. Three in total: Thurs 18 July 2 – 4-30pm, Tues 13 Aug 5 – 7-30pm, MCR Central Library Performance Space. Archived on www.thereno.live. Incorporated into The Reno at The Whitworth Exhibit March 2019 to 2020.
