Black and British: David Olusoga

Historian, broadcaster and filmmaker David Olusoga OBE was in conversation with Manchester Histories Chair and Historian Professor Hannah Barker at Manchester Art Gallery.

Olusoga’s TV series Black and British: A Forgotten History is a wide-ranging and important project that explores Black British history from Roman times to the present day within the context of national and global history. It provided a brilliant focus for the themes of protest and freedom that were discussed at this in-conversation event presented as part of the closing weekend of events for Peterloo 2019.
